Treadmill Desk Update: 10 and 11 Months

This is a two-fer, because I'm just that late with month #10 on my LifeSpan TR1200-DT treadmill desk.  But hey, totally on time here for month #11.  Woo!  Also, looking ahead, 12 months won't actually be 1 year because I've been doing "months" as 4-week blocks, plus there was a 2-week break in there.  So 1 year is officially in mid-January.

At any rate, month #10:

  • Hours: 1363
  • Hours/Day: 5.25
  • Steps: 4,720,922
  • Steps/Day: 18,157
  • Calories: 322,613
  • Calories/Day: 1,241
  • Calories/Hr: 236
  • Miles: 1572.3
  • Miles/Day: 6.0

As I noted for the last update, things turned ugly.  It basically boils down to walking less and eating more.  But things are getting turned around this month:

  • Hours: 1495
  • Hours/Day: 5.3
  • Steps: 5,196,405
  • Steps/Day: 18,169
  • Calories: 349,927
  • Calories/Day: 1,224
  • Calories/Hr: 233
  • Miles: 1726.2
  • Miles/Day: 6.0

I've really busted my hump with increased duration and speed this week, and it's paying off.  I think being down 50 by the holidays is out of reach, but even 45 would make me happy.  I'd also like to get back to at least the original 1 lb/week line, as I'm pretty disappointed I let myself get above it.

Notable milestones include 5 million steps - still struggling with measuring anything I do in the millions - I've crossed 350K calories as I type this, and will have 1500+ hours by the end of the day.  I have a shot at hitting 2K miles before the 1-year mark, but it will be tough.

So, still keepin' on, keepin' on, and with some newfound motivation getting the ship righted.
